Abstract
In general, skin lesion of the varicella zoster virus (VZV) is found several days before the neurological symptoms. We reported a patient with VZV meningitis and delayed skin lesion which was confirmed by repeated cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) study. Clinical suspicion is needed for early detection and proper management via repeated viral marker study for CSF or thorough physical examination for skin lesion even in aseptic meningitis patients who is negative CSF viral marker or no skin lesion at admission.
